Shveta is the Founder and CEO of Talerang, with the mission to create a work-ready India. Talerang has reached close to 30mn students since inception in 2013, with 500,000+ learners. Before starting her entrepreneurial journey, Shveta has worked with McKinsey and Company, New York where she founded and ran the Female Business Analyst Mentorship Program (North America) and was the youngest Director at Teach For India.
Shveta has been recognized as one of India Inc’s Rising Women Leaders by the Economic Times, and a Woman of Courage by India Today. She has been part of the Mumbai Youth Forum, The IMC Start-up Committee and IMC Skill Development Committee. She was awarded Young Womenpreneur 2017 by the DICE Ecosystem and the Governor of Maharashtra. She received the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Inbush World Summit 2018. She received the Woman Achiever Award by the Women Economic Forum and the DMA Woman Changemaker Social Innovation Award 2022. She has been selected for the 2022 global DiasporaNEXT Social Entrepreneurs List. Shveta is the State President, Maharastra of Association of Business Women in Commerce & Industry (ABWCI).
She has written a weekly column on student issues for India’s most widely circulated paper, Dainik Bhaskar. She has been a speaker at TedX, the Harvard India Conference, UN Young Changemakers, and the Women Economic Forum. Her podcast, Bano Job Ready is live on Amazon Audible with 2 seasons.
Shveta is a graduate of Harvard Business School, where she graduated with Honours (~top 15% of her graduating class) and the Horace Goldsmith Fellowship for Social Enterprise. She led an independent research project under the guidance of Professor Das Narayan Das to find a solution to India’s employability crisis, which grew into Talerang. Her pilots were funded by a grant from Harvard’s Social Enterprise Initiative. She also graduated Magna cum Laude from Brown University in Applied Mathematics, International Studies, and Economics.

Talerang’s training methodology integrates cohort based live training with Harvard cases, proprietary assessments, interaction with guest speakers, industry exposure, custom learning journeys, training on 21st century hard and soft skills, and personal mentoring for holistic professional development. Talerang is different from other EdTech firms due to its high focus on quality, impact and results for each learner.
Talerang has directly trained close to 500,000 students and reached ~30million candidates through partnerships with colleges, corporates, the media and the United Nations Development Program. Talerang has won several awards including one from the Harvard New Venture Competition, been short-listed by Kalaari Capital’s K-Start and been part of Village Capital’s India cohort.
