  TATA TRUSTS

Talerang delivered a customized program for ~110 Swasth Bharat Preraks, a joint initiative by Tata Trusts and the Ministry of Women and Child Development India for the 2nd time in July. A unique, experiential curriculum was developed for Tata Trusts to upskill and prepare the Preraks for the challenges of working at the grass-root level and the district administration. The curriculum consisted of self-leadership, influencing skills across stakeholders and problem solving. The experiential learning experience allowed participants to “learn while doing” based on proven, best practice activities and exercises. 

 

Talerang received approval ratings of 91% for Learning and Enjoyment and 96% for Facilitator Effectiveness.

  ISME

Talerang created and delivered a customized program for the students of ISME to be work-ready. The entire training was experiential which helped the students “learn while doing”.  

The participants were trained to get work-ready by knowing themselves, preparing themselves and finally proving themselves at the workplace.

SHIV NADAR UNIVERSITY (MBA)

We trained the ambitious and enthusiastic final year MBA students from Shiv Nadar University in New Delhi, on 5 customized modules based on experiential learning. The modules included self awareness, self belief, communication and influencing skills, how to work smart and bridge to career. 

Individual feedback sessions were also conducted to mentor them, help them set and achieve ambitious goals.

Self Leadership and Building Relationships were the most insightful modules for the students. 

Talerang received an average 100% rating across all modules based on participant feedback.

SHIV NADAR UNIVERSITY (BMS)

Talerang delivered a customized program for the final year BMS students

at Shiv Nadar University. The customized experiential program was designed to help them get work-ready and their dream job by knowing, preparing and proving themselves. 

The modules included self awareness; where students were taught how to deepen their self awareness, understanding their strengths and weakness, self belief; where they learnt how to develop a clear plan for themselves, perfect communication; strengthening their communication skills, working smart; understanding how to manage time, bridge to career; bridging their academics to their chosen career path and learning how to build relationships.

We received an average of 99% on learning and enjoyment and 100% for facilitator effectiveness.

SHIV NADAR UNIVERSITY (ENGINEERING)

Talerang trained 150 students from Shiv Nadar University in their final year of engineering. We developed a customized program to prepare them for the placement season. 

The curriculum included modules such as self awareness, perfect communication, problem solving, resume and interviewing skills.

We received a 92% average approval ratings across all modules and 95% facilitator approval ratings.

SHIV NADAR UNIVERSITY (SNU FACULTY)

This time Talerang trained the Career Development Cell team members of ShivNadar University. We developed a customized curriculum for faculty members to understand Gen Z and upskill based on students needs and industry expectations. The training included modules such as self awareness, mentoring best practices, understanding Gen Z and Post college choices, resume and interviewing skills. The faculty members voted a 55%* increase in understanding of Gen Z, and an average 100% approval rating across all modules.

 Avendus Program : Getting new hires work ready

Talerang was invited to train 30 new hires at Avendus primarily from IIMs to help them transition from campus to corporate. The objective was to make them work-ready and result oriented. The training was focused on Knowing your strengths, Managing yourself, Managing time under pressure, Getting things done, and Stakeholder management. The training helped the participants to feel more confident in their ability to perform against tight deadlines, deliver end to end, and be result oriented.

 

Talerang received approval ratings of 94% for Learning and Enjoyment and 98% for Facilitator effectiveness; benchmark approval ratings for large group training sessions are usually within the range of 70-72%.

 IIT Madras : Placement Preparation

Talerang was invited to train 155 students of IIT Madras – our objective was to prepare them for their placement season and get them work ready. The training was focussed on Self-leadership, Verbal communication, Resume, Interviewing skills and problem solving. At the end of the sessions, students felt more self-aware, and had improved communication and problem solving skills. They now feel more confident about getting their dream jobs.

 IIM Lucknow : Placement Prep

Talerang was invited to train ~300  FY and SY PGP students of IIM Lucknow – our mandate was to get them ready before their placement season.. The training was focused on Resume and Interviewing Sessions, Milestones, Group Discussion and Problem Solving. Post the program, students felt more confident about their ability to apply for and crack the interview for their dream job.

 IIT Bombay : Placement Preparation

Talerang was invited to train 1000 students of IIT Bombay – our mandate was to get them ready before their placement season. The training was focussed on Self-leadership, Verbal communication, Resume, Interviewing skills and problem solving. At the end of the sessions, students felt more self-aware, improved their communication and problem solving skills. Post the training, students felt more confident and better prepared to bag their dream job.

 Teach For India 2018:  Getting new hires work-ready

Talerang was invited to train 55 new hires of Teach for India. The training was focused on Defining your work personality, Communicating and influencing for impact, Decision making, and strategic thinking, Excel for young professionals, PowerPoint for young professionals and Personal-professional development. The program helped the associates better transition into their workplaces by overcoming the fears holding them back from unleashing their true potential.

  Tata Trusts

Talerang’s mandate is to conduct training programs for ~500 preraks of the Swasth Bharat Programme. The program is a joint initiative of Ministry of Women and Child Development and Tata Trusts. These preraks will be deployed in priority districts across India under the National Nutrition Mission to work with the District Magistrates. Through fun activities and Harvard case studies, we helped them build self-leadership, verbal communication, effective work relationships and influencing skills. Talerang received 96% learning and enjoyment ratings across 12 customized topics delivered. The benchmark approval ratings for large group training sessions are usually within the range of 70-72%.

Reality Bytes

Talerang has successfully entered the high school segment with the launch of the Reality Bytes Program! 8-12th graders can now learn new age skills and differentiate themselves for careers of the future! The program includes 21st century skills such as: design thinking, consumer listening, the digital tool-kit, communicating for impact, and an intro to Artificial Intelligence and coding. Through the program, they will acquire professional competencies, work on a live project with amazing companies and present findings to their senior leadership. The program has been supported by our corporate partners across industries.

 Trilegal Induction 2018

Talerang was invited by Trilegal to train 55 young recruits selected from some of the best law schools in the country. We trained them on first impressions and effective communication techniques. Filled with role plays and interactive activities, the workshop was part of a two-day induction that gave recruits insights on engaging different stakeholders of the firm. We received 87% learning ratings across 3 modules delivered. The participants reported a 33% average increase in their communication skills after the training.

 Trilegal

Talerang was invited to train the Associates at Trilegal – a law firm in Mumbai. The training was focused on developing work-effectiveness, business communication (written and verbal) and PowerPoint skills. The program helped the Associates better transition into the workplace by overcoming the fears holding them back from unleashing their true potential.

 Talerang’s Accelerate Program at Teach For India

Teach For India invited Talerang to run the Accelerate Program in Mumbai. The program was designed to help young professionals define their work personality, manage their time and projects better, up-skill for work-effectiveness, tackle their fears and develop a professional development plan.

 Waverly Hotels and Residencies

Talerang was invited to train the team at The Waverly Hotel and Residences, Bangalore. The work-readiness training was designed to train the team to better understand their customers, enhance customer service and build on their problem solving abilities.

 Simulanis

Talerang was invited to train the entire team at Simulanis – an EdTech startup based out of Delhi. The work-readiness training was centered around our modules: Self awareness, self belief, team vision, communication (written and verbal), business ethics, task prioritization, goal setting and problem solving.

 IIT Bombay

The Talerang team was invited back to train students at IIT Bombay by the Career Cell in June this year, due to the success of last year’s program! The work-readiness training was centered on our work-effectiveness modules and the objective was to build confidence, communication skills, lasting first impressions and resume and interviewing skills.

 United Nations Development Program – Disha Project

Project Disha (a partnership between the IDF, UNDP and Xyntéo, supported by IKEA Foundation) aims to empower over 1 million women in three years. As part of this initiative Talerang aims to make 15,000 female students of SNDT University employable. Talerang, Wheebox and CII are the implementation partners.

 

As part of this project, Talerang will coach and mentor 15,000 girls and also train the faculty to make this a sustainable initiative. The faculty training resulted in a 30% improvement in their confidence and comfort with career mentoring and training.

 ISME

Talerang is the work-readiness partner for the Indian School of Management and Entrepreneurship, and is integrated with ISME’s curriculum. The modules to be covered are Self awareness and Self belief, Life vision, Business communication, Verbal communication and Excel. The curriculum is spaced out over 3 years.

 

The feedback has been great! The Talerang program received average learning and enjoyment approval ratings of over 94% across all 4 modules. “I really enjoy the sessions. It’s really nice how your team comes up with something new and different every session,” a student shared.

 Andhra – Research Project

Talerang was invited to run the training intervention of a research project conducted by Harvard and Stanford University. We conducted a training program for 900 students over four days at ANITS College, Andhra University, SRKR College and CR Reddy College to prepare them for placement season. Our mandate was to help them prepare their resumes and develop their interviewing and communication skills.

 

The program received a rating of 100%. The students found the mock interviews impactful from a learning perspective and felt an increase in self-confidence and believed that they would be ready for their placements after the program. “I have fear in interview but when I attend the training programme, I have got confidence to face an interview without fear and I can improve my skills”, said one of the students.

 NRB Bearings

We designed a customized program for 65 engineers and graduate engineer trainees in four batches. Additionally, we rolled out NRB’s new messaging #THEnrbway across the organization through marketing collaterals (e.g., video, poster, flier, banner, business cards, notebooks).

 

The program received an average rating of 100 per cent and attendees believe that the training has helped them improve their project results and team work. “I have been able to work better in teams after the training. The automation-based project which includes automatic loading, unloading and rotation check and polymer case fitment machine project needs me to work with the mechanical team.”, claimed a participant. Additionally, we have been invited back to train all the senior management at the headquarters and manufacturing plants, and roll out #THEnrbway across the organization.

 IIT Roorkee Mentorship Program

Talerang was invited by the Director and management team at IIT Roorkee to train 1,050 first year students to develop their confidence and communication skills. This first of its kind program, kicked off in October 2015, has been designed to help students discover themselves, develop a sense of purpose, hone their communication, overcome their fears, and build their confidence. The institution, in partnership with Talerang, has also launched a first of its kind non-academic mentorship program, where successful 3rd year students have been trained and assigned to the 1st year to support their transition into college and beyond.

The feedback has been overwhelming. 90% of the students found the learning to be effective, and 94% students stressed the relevance of the communication module. “The program helped me overcome the barriers of communication,” says one student. Students self-report as genuinely needing the support. Some candidly shared, “I found my weakness – possessing low confidence.” The activities were conducted through small group discussions, and each student was provided individual attention. ~ 93% of the students trained at IIT Roorkee shared that they enjoyed the learning methodology, which is well above the ~70% ratings for most training sessions.

IIT Roorkee has taken a step in the right direction by trying to create well-rounded graduates, who are confident and self-aware in addition to having technical knowledge. The Director of IIT Roorkee, Mr Pradipta Banerjee says, “Talerang’s effort at IIT Roorkee complements our own effort by creating a program that helps in developing self-belief, communication skills and confidence in our students.”

 Global Investment Bank

Talerang was invited to train the entry-level class of a premier investment bank – our mandate was to get them work-ready before they started their full-time jobs.

The students had outstanding credentials – and were handpicked primarily from the IITs and Delhi University. Training centered on our work-readiness modules: self-awareness, self-belief, communication, problem-solving, ethics and prioritization amongst other skills. We also incorporated communication in the digital age and diversity training.

Our program received positive feedback at 85 percent approval ratings (versus the industry norm of 70 percent). The candidates especially loved the life-visioning module and the experiential method of teaching using HBS case studies and peer-to-peer learning.

Talerang was invited back in 2015 to conduct training for 30 entry-level hires from across the IITs and our program saw a 3% increase in ratings from the previous year.

 IIT Roorkee Placement Program

Talerang was invited to train the graduating class of 800 students of IIT Roorkee’s B.Tech program – our mandate was to get them ready before their placement season. We were invited back to train 800 students of the graduating M. Tech. program.

 

Training was conducted in 10 separate batches of 160 students each – all completed in 10 days. Training centered on spoken communication, resume preparation, interview practice, first impressions and etiquette. We also conducted 300 mock interviews where we gave students individual coaching and attention.

 

The candidates especially loved the mock interviews, the resume preparation session, and the experiential and interactive method of teaching.

 NRB Bearings

Talerang was invited to train 30 mid and senior level managers of a leading automotive component manufacturer – our mandate was to get them work-effective in order to achieve the organization’s long-term vision and targets. We were invited back to train 28 mid and senior level managers on work-effectiveness.

 

The training centered on our work-effectiveness modules: self-leadership, life vision, perfect communication, working smart, building connections, grooming and business etiquette amongst other skills. We also incorporated stress management, health and wellness best practices.

 

Our program received positive feedback at 96 percent approval ratings (versus the industry norm of 70 percent). The candidates especially loved the self-leadership, perfect communication and transition to workplace module.

 Madura Fashion & Lifestyle

Talerang was invited to train the management trainees of Madura Fashion & Lifestyle – our mandate was to get them work-ready before they started their full-time jobs.

 

The students had outstanding credentials – and were handpicked primarily from the IIMs, IIFT and NIIE. Training centered on our work-readiness modules: self-leadership, life vision, perfect communication, working smart, building connections, grooming and business etiquette amongst other skills. We also incorporated communication in the digital age, stress management, health and wellness best practices and diversity training.

 

Our program received positive feedback at 97 percent approval ratings (versus the industry norm of 70 percent). The candidates especially loved the life-visioning module.

 Central Square Foundation

Talerang trained 5 entry-level hires of Central Square Foundation.

 

The training sessions received a 100% approval rating.

 RBL Bank

Talerang was invited to train the summer interns of RBL Bank – our mandate was to get them work-ready before they started their internships.

 

The participants had outstanding credentials – and were handpicked primarily from the IIMs, NMIMS, MANAGE and SJSOM. Training centered on our work-readiness modules: self-leadership, life vision, perfect communication, working smart, grooming and business etiquette, building connections and transition to workplace amongst other skills. We also incorporated managing different stakeholders, stress management, health and wellness best practices and personalized feedback for participants on their performance.
